MISSION STATEMENT
The Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)/Electronic Warfare (EW)/Cyberspace Plans and Policy Branch (IPS) is the DIRINT/Service Cryptologic Component (SCC) Chief's representative for all USMC SIGINT. Ground EW and Cyberspace activities and policies. IPS conducts detailed planning, publishes service-level policy, and oversees the execution of capability development for the MCISRE in order to foster the seamless integration of SIGINT/EW/Cyber through innovation, disciplined process, and capability generation.
TASKS
- Provide assistance to MCCDC in identifying requirements for SIGINT, Ground EW, INFOSEC monitoring, intelligence support to IO and intelligence systems technical architectures.
- Serve as the primary Marine Corps point of contact for intelligence communications.
- Provide assistance to MCSC regarding research, development, and acquisition initiatives related to SIGINT, EW, INFOSEC monitoring, IO and intelligence system technical architectures and standards.
- As the Service Cryptologic Commander's action arm, serve as the Marine Corps representative to OSD, the Joint Staff, the NSA/CSS, the Service Cryptologic Elements and other DoD agencies for all policy matters involving SIGINT.
- Review doctrine and policy that affect SIGINT, ground EW, INFOSEC monitoring, intelligence support to IO and intelligence systems technical architectures.
- Coordinate with NSA/CSS to ensure that appropriate SIGINT support and technical guidance is provided to Marine Corps operating forces.
- Coordinate Marine Corps participation in NSA MIP and CCP resources.
- Participate in OSD, Joint Staff, and IC actions concerning SIGINT, EW, INFOSEC monitoring, IO, intelligence system technical architectures and interoperability standards.
- Provide or coordinate Marine Corps representation to external committees and working groups addressing SIGINT, EW, and INFOSEC monitoring, IO and intelligence systems technical architectures.
- Serve as the Marine Corps point of contact regarding INFOSEC monitoring.
